El Ferrer was an abandoned village for over 5o years when 15 years ago an enterprising English couple bought it and began renovating it. Today, all except one or two of the original houses have been renovated, some of which are occupied by English families who live and work there.

The rest of the houses are holiday homes, some of which you will stay in during your holiday. Each has a kitchen, living room, one or two bedrooms, shower, toilet and private terrace. They have all been renovated using traditional materials and are very much as they would have been a century ago, except now they have gas and electricity! Mike & Annemarie have created a friendly family business which cater for individuals or groups of up to six. There is no house sharing unless you are on one of our special SINGLES WEEKS when to keep costs down you will share a house but have your own bedroom..

              

   There is use of Rancho Ferrer's private pool and hot tub which can be very therapeutic, especially after long hours in the saddle! The bar in the village with satellite TV (also run by Mike & Annemarie - very energetic people!), where delicious evening meals with wine included are enjoyed, is an ideal place to take a drink while discussing your next day's ride. Some of the day rides may include a stop off where you can enjoy a specially prepared picnic, while the horses rest and are watered. Food really is a very essential part of any holiday, and whether you are enjoying breakfast, lunch or dinner, Annemarie will have used only the best local ingredients available.
